Background Information:
The Town of
Monument Celebrates Independence Day
each year with a parade and festival. The parade has been sponsored by the Monument Hill Sertoma Club for
over 15 years. The parade was
originally held along Highway 105 but was moved to accommodate the local
residents, visitors and businesses.
The Tri-Lakes area will
be celebrating Independence Day with fun activities for the whole family.
The celebration will be kicked off with a Pancake Breakfast in front
of St Peter Church 7:00 am—9:00 am. This
will allow parade entrants the opportunity to have a great breakfast prior
to the parade.
After the parade a
street fair is held in downtown Monument on Second Street. Food, music art and crafts
fill the downtown Monument area.
Palmer
Lake
will host a series of outdoor activities including concerts starting in the
afternoon and culminating with an incredible fireworks display!
From sunrise to sunset, plan to spend the entire day in the Tri-Lakes
area!
